Passage: Ephesians 4:25-32

God’s words:

1. Are powerful
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

2. spoken with truth in love
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, - Ephesians 4:15
James talking about the tongue describing our words like a rudder on a ship: 4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. James 3:4-5

Our words:
1. Are powerful
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, - Ephesians 4:15
2. Must be spoken with truth in love
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
