Why do our prayers say “in Jesus name?”
“Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name!” Psalm 80:18
A name tells us something about the person.
“And his name shall be called ‘Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’” Isaiah 9:6
