Passage: Luke 2:1-20

In knowing who I am not, I begin to discover who I am.
Haves and Have Nots
We all want peace in our hearts.
The Prince of Peace is gifted for our broken hearts.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And his name shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Hebrew “sar shalom” (peace)
World peace = an absence of conflict and war; removal of conflict
Biblical peace = wholeness in the midst of conflict
Prince of Peace “sar shalom” - Sar = Prince
For to us a Child is born, to us a son is given. Isaiah 9:6a
The best gifts fix our challenges.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!’” Luke 2:13-14
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Jesus, John 14:27
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart;I have overcome the world.” Jesus, John 16:33

Our Peace Child is Jesus
