Passage: Genesis 18:1-15
God opens His own life to us and through us.
“When (Abraham) saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them”(v2)
God’s people don’t isolate themselves, but open their lives.
(Hebrew) kahom hayom —heat of the day
The Lord is aware of your every need.
The Lord meets your need to experience His presence.
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” (John 1:14)
“Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.”” (18:10)
“(the Lord) has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)
God opens His own life to us and through us.
Although I stand unworthy and condemned, my God has given me in Christ all the riches of righteousness and salvation, out of pure, free mercy! God meets others in their kehom hayom through you.
Where can you welcome the visitor… and see that God meets you there too?
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me…Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (Matthew 25:35,40)
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” Romans 12:12-13
