Passage: Matthew
“Where did you see God working this last week?”
Who (Jesus) will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:8-9
So that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:7
“The Art of Waiting: Attention”
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. Matthew 24:42
For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:37-39
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Matthew 24:44
But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
“God, I’m paying attention. Show me where You’re at work.”
What are your regular routines that you have right now that could be opportunities for you to initiate this prayer?
Series Information

Each year before Christmas, we spend our time in Advent. Advent provides more than just prep time for Christmas. It provides A sacred space where God can do His deepest work of establishing rhythms of attention, repentance, simplicity, and expectation. In our weekend Advent Series "The Art of Waiting," we will explore these rhythms and see that our God who became flesh in Jesus continues to meet us in our most human moments.
