Passage: Matt. 22:34-46
“While healthy introspection and self-awareness invite us to look inward in order to live outward for the sake of others, self-centrism is an unremitting gaze inward, an inability to see life as anything more than the comparative background to the foreground of our own thoughts, feelings, and perception of experiences.” - Jay Kim, “Analog Christian”
