Passage: 1 Peter 4:8-11
The Everyday Each Other
“the end of all things is near.” 1 Peter 4:7
Be prayerfully alert.
Love one another.
Show hospitality to one another.
Use your gifts to serve one another.
Speak God’s Words.
God equips us with gifts for the trip!
We deploy our gifts in service to one another.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
We serve according to our giftedness and God’s strength.
“If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides…” 1 Peter 4:11
We serve according to the needs of God’s family.
We serve as a tangible picture of Jesus.
Jesus prayed to his Father: “May (my followers) also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me…so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17: 21,23
“…in ALL THINGS God may be praised thru Jesus Christ” 1 Peter 4:11
“do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise…” 2 Peter 3:8-9
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6
