God has made a promise to His people, and He will keep His promise.

“Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8

The scriptures are FOR you, but they aren’t necessarily ABOUT you.

This is a specific promise and word of encouragement to a specific person for a specific time and purpose.

“In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Joshua 1:25

The Hebrew name for Joshua is “Yehoshua”

“…not leave you or forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Joshua 1:5b-6

Blood is thicker than water…The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
