Come and See the Hope That Can Face Anything!

April 05, 2026 | Dave McGinley
Passage: The Gospel According to Matthew Matthew 28:1-10

Come and see the hope that can face anything!

What we believe about our future completely controls how we are experiencing our present!

“Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.” Matthew 28:1-2

“But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”” Matthew 28:5-6

“From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”  Matthew 16:21

“As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.””  Matthew 17:22-23a

“and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”  Matthew 20:19

The Resurrection: Reverses death! Restores life! Defeats brokenness!

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

“Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead.” Matthew 28:7

“Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”” Matthew 28:10

Go and tell others about the hope that can face anything!

Come and see! Go and tell!
