Mission Trip at Amigos de Cristo
Sedalia Mission Trip 2026
Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12
Webster Gardens partners with Amigos de Cristo Lutheran Church in Sedalia, Missouri, to bring the reward of mission work to families. This trip provides an excellent opportunity to show your kids how to bring others to Jesus right here in Missouri.
Your family will also gain a valuable cross-cultural experience by serving the Hispanic community of Sedalia, Missouri, just 3 hours west of St. Louis. From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, participants will experience fellowship, worship, and the joy of serving others. We hope your family can attend!
What we will do:
- Help Amigos host a mini-True North VBS for their community, which we at Webster Gardens experienced this past June. Especially great for families who either participated in, or helped facilitate, Webster Gardens' VBS this past June! (Set-up Friday evening, VBS begins Saturday morning, through Saturday afternoon, and finishes Sunday morning.)
- A sub-team will help repaint and fix up the Pastor and Secretary's office.
Cost: $120. Webster Gardens' Missions Team supports participating families by paying for one night's hotel stay at the Best Western in Sedalia.
Transportation: Each family will travel separately to Sedalia and arrive at any time on Friday afternoon or evening. Those arriving early can help set up the VBS and start painting. On past trips, many families have taken advantage of the hotel's pool by enjoying an informal "pool party" in the evening. The first "official" team meeting will be on Saturday morning.
Food: Hot breakfast is included at the hotel, and Amigos de Cristo will serve us dinner Saturday evening. Families will be individually responsible for all other meals and miscellaneous expenses.
Worship: We will enjoy Saturday evening campfire worship with our brothers and sisters from Amigos, and worship with them on Sunday morning at noon in a bilingual service. Service will end approximately 1:00 to 1:30pm. (They have a noon service to accommodate the work schedules of their congregants.)
