Serving is an incredible way to get connected to others as well as grow in your faith.

We would be thrilled to have you jump into community by joining a serving team. We think that by volunteering, you’ll grow. You might even discover what so many others have discovered: that while you think volunteering requires something from you, it will actually do something good for you and in you. When we serve like Jesus on the outside, we become like him on the inside. Check out the different ways you can get involved with the volunteer opportunities currently available.

Adult Ministry

There are many different ways for individuals to serve in Adult Ministry, where we focus on assisting adults to connect into our church community, grow in their faith, and take steps in discipleship. Is God calling you to serve in any of the following areas?

Ushers/Greeters
Coffee Team
Connections Team: helping first time guests navigate the process of getting connected into our Webster Gardens community
Missions Ministry Serving Opportunities: Here, Near, and Far
Groups Ministry: Be a Small Group Leader or serve on the Groups Leadership Team
Women's, Men's, or Senior Ministry serving opportunties

Family Ministry

One of our core desires is to invest in the next generation and help them discover a faith in Jesus of their own. Our Family Ministry team is committed to creating fun, engaging, and meaningful faith experiences for our kids and students, with roles that use every personality and giftedness. Roles include:

Sunday Kids: Room Leaders, Large Group, Hospitality/Tech Team, Supplies, and more!
Faith Path: Leadership and Event planning opportunities
Middle School: Group Leaders and Special Events
High School: Group Leaders and Special Events
Young Adult Ministry: Small Groups and Connections
Nursery: Childcare volunteers
Outreach Events: Easter Eggstravaganza, VBS, etc.

Worship Teams

Our worship teams look after every detail of our Sunday services with precision and intentionality. Opportunities include:

Music Teams: Choir, Brass, Praise Band
Tech Help: Work with lighting, screens, sound, or livestream systems during worship services.
Readers: Join our team of readers to share the Bible during worship services.
Communion Assistants: Assist in the distribution of the elements.
Altar Guild Help: Prepare the bread and the wine for communion and maintain the items used on the altar for worship services.
Medic Team: Need to be licensed medical professionals, ex: EMT, RN, NP, DR, etc.

Operations Teams

Is God calling you to support ministry by ensuring Webster Gardens has the abundant resources He has blessed us with available when needed? Individuals can help serve with our Operations Department in a variety of roles:

Facilities: Properties Team, Building/Maintenance Trade support, Campus cleanup days, etc.
Finances: Accounting help, Endowment Board, Financial Reviews, Investment Review, etc.
Communications: Photographers, Google review, Social Media help
Office Support: Recurring and one time roles available

WG Missions Ministry - Here, Near, Far

Will you join our Missions ministry? We’re called to love God with everything we have, and that love naturally overflows into loving others—not just "here" with WG coordinated missions serving events, but also outside our church walls through opportunities with organizations both "near" (around our St. Louis community), and "far" (domestic and global mission trips). Missions ministry serving might look like helping a neighbor, serving with local organizations in the community, or supporting efforts that reach people we may never meet. Wherever God is calling you — here, near, or far — He wants you to be part of His work.

Local Serving-Monthly Opportunities

Is God calling you to love and serve your neighbors here in St. Louis? Individuals can serve through WG Missions Team coordinated events or through local organizations serving needs in our St. Louis community. Serving events are selected based on interest areas surfaced from the congregation and needs surfaced from some of our ongoing ministry partnerships with Christian Friends of New Americans and Bethlehem Lutheran in North St. Louis.

Mission Trips

Is God calling you to serve through mission travel trips? You and your family can help us serve through one of our recurring mission travel trips to:

Sedalia, MO: serving the needs of members and the community of our partner church Amigos de Cristo Lutheran Church
Acuna, Mexico: working with our missions partner, Casas por Cristo, to build homes for families in need
Kawete, Uganda: assisting with community education and medical needs through Christ Community International and CCLS-Uganda
