Missions Prayer Calendar

Read Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Pray for the willingness to surrender our ambitions to God and to seek His will for our missions ministry.

Read Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do,  and he will establish your plans."  Ask for discernment to identify ambitions that align with His plan for our missions.

Read Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" Ask for the courage to let go of ambitions that don’t serve His purpose.

Read Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."  Pray for the wisdom to make sound decisions in pursuit of our ambitions.

Read Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Ask for the protection against the temptation of pride that can arise from success in our ambitions. 

Read Proverbs 21:5 "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty." Ask for the discernment to prioritize our time and energy in ways that honor God and promote our well-being.

Read Psalm 90:17 "May the favor^[a] of the Lord our God rest on us;  establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands." Ask for guidance to maintain healthy relationships and meaningful connections with others even as we pursue our ambitions.

Read 1 John 3:17 "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" Pray for an open heart to receive and respond to the needs of others with compassion.

Read Proverbs 29:7 "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern."  Ask for the humility to set aside our own concerns and priorities so that we can experience the perspective of others.

Read Psalm 103:13 "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;" Ask for the strength to step outside our comfort zones in order to show love and care.

Read Colossians 3:12 "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."  Seek to trust in God’s timing for our partnerships.

Read Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Pray for discernment in responding with compassion and recognize when and how to act in the most effective and helpful ways.

Read Psalm 86:15 "But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness." Ask for the strength to persist in loving and caring for others, even when we do not see immediate results or changes.

Read Matthew 5:7 "Blessed are the merciful,  for they will be shown mercy."  Thank God for the ways He has shown us compassion and for the ways we can extend that same compassion to those around us.
