“But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Mark 10:6-9
God’s intent is for married couples to remain together as husband and wife until death separates them. Marriage is the foundation for the human community and the building block for godly families. We, as a congregation, pray that as you enter into marriage, you will prayerfully ask God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to be present in your individual lives as well as in your relationship as a couple.
As a community of believers in Jesus Christ, Webster Gardens recognizes it has both the privilege and the responsibility to perform marriages that are God-pleasing. The marriage ministry of Webster Gardens seeks to glorify God and encourage one another. When a couple wishes to be married, we are concerned that we minister to them as fully as we can. Therefore, we offer these policies as guidelines for our ministry.
You have chosen to be married in the Christian Church, and that means your wedding will be a worship service. Therefore, as is the case in all Christian worship, our primary focus is on God. Below you can find information to help you plan your wedding at Webster Gardens.
