It’s About Time…
Five Minutes with Jesus

“From His fullness have we all received, grace upon grace.” (John 1:16)

Merry Christmas!

I have always enjoyed the days AFTER Christmas best!  I love the visiting, gifting, eating and worshiping with family and friends, yet there comes a time when I just like to be still.  We live in times where there’s always something waiting for our attention, but I pray that you have a few minutes to breathe in the days after Christmas.

The purpose of the booklet is to encourage you to take five minutes of quiet time every day for two weeks to spend with Jesus.  This booklet offers daily readings accompanied by reflection questions and thoughts to help you know Jesus better.

I chose the Gospel of John for this Christmas respite because it’s an easy-to-read narrative of Jesus’ life, filled with vivid pictures of Jesus that are useful for meditation.  Take five minutes a day, and you’ll read and reflect on the entire book.

The purpose of this exercise is not academic.  Don’t feel like you have to learn everything there is to know in the historical or theological setting.  If you don’t understand something, that’s okay.  Write down your questions.  Share them with us or a friend.  The purpose of this journey is to meet Jesus.  You’ll be glad you did!

From all of us at Webster Gardens,

God bless you with His presence in the New Year!
