the Smartphone Generation

Discover what bonding and boundaries look like today raising a generation of "over-connected" young people.  Snapchat, Instagram, Fortnite, Youtube, Spotify, Netflix...add up all the social media, gaming, funny videos, music, TV, and kids average nine hours of entertainment media per day.  In a world so full of distractions, parents need to avoid overreaction and engage in meaningful interaction.  Come to listen to Jonathan McKee, the author of over twenty books including 'The Teen's Guide to Social Media and Mobile Devices'; 'If I Had a Parenting Do Over'; and 'The Guy's Guide to God, Girls, and the Phone in your Pocket'.  He speaks to parents and leaders worldwide, and he will be coming to Webster Gardens to offer his timeless wisdom for parents of the smartphone generation!

Kids (K- 6th)  will have an age-appropriate “movie night” in the gym with drinks and snacks. Kids are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag and pillow for the floor.  Adult and high school leaders will be present to supervise children while parents are in the presentation.  To help us plan please use the button below to register for this event.
